At the Institute of Kidney Diseases (IKD) in Peshawar, we are committed to delivering the highest quality of care to our patients, continually advancing our services to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community. Our In-Patient Department currently offers 115 beds across specialized units, with plans underway to expand this capacity to 200 beds to serve even more patients. This expansion reflects our dedication to meeting the rising demand for kidney-related healthcare services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Our in-patient facilities are designed to provide specialized, comprehensive care for patients with various kidney and urological conditions:

• General ICU: Equipped with advanced monitoring and life-support systems, our General ICU provides critical care for patients with severe and life-threatening conditions, ensuring that each patient receives around-the-clock medical attention.

• Transplant ICU: Our Transplant ICU is specifically tailored to support patients recovering from kidney transplant surgery, where careful monitoring and expert care are essential to prevent complications and ensure the success of the transplant.

• Nephrology HDU (High Dependency Unit): The Nephrology HDU offers intensive support for patients with severe kidney disorders, bridging the gap between general ward care and full ICU services. Here, patients receive focused nephrology care, including advanced monitoring and specialized treatment.

In addition, IKD offers Pediatric Urology and Pediatric Nephrology wards, dedicated to the care of children suffering from kidney and urological conditions. Our pediatric units provide tailored treatments in a compassionate, child-friendly environment, staffed by specialized pediatric nephrologists and urologists trained to address the unique healthcare needs of young patients.
